Protection and Indemnity Overview

P&I insurance is liability coverage for watercraft. It protects the insured from liabilities, from bodily injury or property damage arising out of the use or ownership of declared vessels. Most P&I forms offer payments for loss of life, injury, illness, hospital and medical expenses for crew and passengers, wreck removal cost and collision liability, deductibles which may vary with companies.


Hull & Machinery Overview

Physical damage to the vessel based on agreed value, the most common deductible is 2% of the hull value but options are available on most risk.


Passenger Vessels - Coast Guard Certified

Insurance Coverage for sport fishing and diving vessels, whale watching and dinner cruises, excursion weddings and crew boats.


Six Pack Vessel Insurance

Six Pack Captain License is required for coverage. Coverage for crew and passenger for fishing charters and sunset cruises.


Commercial Vessel Insurance

Yacht Insurance

Coverage for watercraft from 26’ up to $5 million in agreed value, P&I limits up to $5,000,000 with limited accidental pollution included. Limited charter trips considered, crew liability available.


Marine Artisan Insurance

Coverage for repairs, services or installs equipment, cleaning, fiberglass, detailing to include dive work, painting and carpentry, where most work completed at the vessel’s location owned by others. Coverage limits up to $1,000,000.


Charter Boat Insurance

Coverages for fishing charters, whale watching boats, dinner cruises, sightseeing boats, harbour cruise boats.


Pollution Insurance

Overview of Coverage – removing all oil and fuel from vessel, booming the area in in some cases using divers, fines and penalties can be levied by local authorities that the policy will provide coverage. Coverage limits of $500,000 to $5,000,000 to include fines and penalties.
